Between January 12 and February 6, 2005, the International Art Symposium "Emaar" was held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), with 40 sculptors and 30 painters being invited to create works for the Burj Kalifa building.
Paula Lopez Moreno was one of only four South American guests, along with Miguel Álgel Velit (Peru), Regina Lopes (Brazil) and Bolivian sculptor Ted Carrasco.
